Desert Sun vs John William

John Williams is running for Palm Springs City Council.

The Desert Sun chose not to endorse my campaign in the Sunday, October 14th edition. I have no issue with their choosing not to endorsement me. That's their decision. But I do have an issue with the mean spirited, unnecessary attack on me personally. Their statements about the fact that years ago Jean-Guy and I rented space for movies to be filmed at the hotel were uncalled for, hurtful, and border on homophobia. This issue was again brought out by The Desert Sun to discredit my campaign. We cannot let this kind of right-wing, biased journalism defeat us. We have to fight back!

Is this just John Williams being embarrassed by his past and does not want to own up to it or is the Desert Sun Homophobic? Everyone has a past and John and Jean-Guy just need to admit it happened, if it did and why and what they have learned form it. We all have past and we all need to except others past and move on.

Did the Desert Sun do this just out of malice as they do so much of the time to discredit candidates they don't like. If you believe this is the fact then we all need to call the Desert Sun on it and make them stop the unneeded personal attacks on candidates they have issues with. Or are they going to call it freedom of the press and they need to report the all the dirt. Where were they when Mary Bono was talking about family values as she was sleeping with a married Florida Congressman and braking up that marriage and the reports of them being seen in the back dark corner on the Democratic side being very close to her new married man. Not making it up people it was in the DC Congressional Reporter Last Year. I sent that on to the Desert Sun and of course the never printed it. Why? That's right they love Mary Bono and she was the 2006 hottest babe in the US Congress!
