The Palm Springs Public Library is pleased to announce its second annual pumpkin decorating contest.Children of all ages are encouraged to participate by bringing a decorated, not carved, pumpkin to the Public Library beginning mid-October. Pumpkins will be judged beginning this upcoming Friday.The Youth department of the Library will hold the pumpkins entered in the contest on display and the winners will be announced on Oct. 30 at the "Not So Scary Stories" program at 6:30 p.m.The pumpkins entered in the contest can be of any size. Decorating methods can vary, applications such as paint, markers and other creative material may be used.For more information please contact Julie Warren at the Palm Springs Public Library 416-6731.
